Every piece was meticulously hand-made and hand-painted through time-honored, labor intensive processes, which involve traditional technique of applying organic lacquer sap, silver leafing, meticulous In-Lay work of eggshell and mother-of-pearl, fine brush painting of pigmented ink. These tedious practices combined with Jesse Nguyen's contemporary taste render a fresh modern lacquer brilliancy, yet retaining old-world quality and elegance.
